Basic Safety Training Refresher
This course is designed for those who have already taken the GWO Basic Safety Training (GWO BST) to renew their certification. This course is not available to first-time participants.
The GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (GWO BSTR) can be taken two months prior to the last day of the BST expiration date. (If taken more than two months prior, the BSTR will expire two years from the end date of that course.) The program consists of the following 5 modules, each lasting 4 days. Each module is valid for 2 years.

・First Aid (FA)
・Fire Awareness (FAW)
・Manual Handling (MH)
・Working At Height (WAH)
・Sea Survival (SS)
Important Notes
・A valid GWO certificate is required for the training.
・If the course is taken earlier than two months before the expiry date, the next validity will be two years after the end of the training.
・You will be asked to submit a self-declaration regarding your health condition.
・The procedure will be sent to you by email after application.
・Students weighing 120 kg or more are not allowed to take the course.
・The course is available in English. The course is taught using English textbook with an English-speaking instructor beside you.
※The course is an addition to the regular Japanese language course.
※The price will be increased by 10% for courses in English.
・For groups of 6 or more, it is possible to offer a course with only English-speaking participants, please contact us.

※We can book your lunch at a nearby restaurant (udon, set meals, etc.) on the morning of the training. Or you can also bring your own lunch and keep it in the training centre’s fridge. Please note that there are no convenience stores in the vicinity of the training center.
※Drinking water is provided free of charge. There are vending machines available for a fee.
※Includes two morning and two afternoon breaks (10 minutes each).
